Konami's paper on M82 has been accepted.

Konami, who is a D2 student, have succeeded in compiling a paper on metal abundances in the hot plasma of starburst galaxy M82, is accepted by PASJ. The detail is shown in http://arxiv.org/abs/1108.5778. Also, Konami et al. gave an oral presentation about this topic at an international conference, "The 11th International Symposium on Origin of Matter and Evolution of […]

Katsuda's paper on Vela pulser has been accepted.

Dr. Katsuda and collaborators published a paper entitled "Suzaku detection of Diffuse Hard X-Ray Emission Outside Vela X" in Publications of Astronomical Society of Japan (available from http://arxiv.org/abs/1103.4872). Katsuda and collaborators observed the Vela pulsar wind nebula with Suzaku, and discovered that the X-ray-emitting nebula extends outside the radio-emitting nebula. This finding strongly suggests that […]

Katsuda attended Frascati Workshop 2011

Dr. Katsuda attended an international conference, Frascati Workshop 2011 "Multifrequency Behaviour of High Energy Cosmic Sources" (http://workshop2011.iasf-roma.inaf.it/), held at the Vulcano island (Italy) during May 23-28 in 2011, and gave an oral presentation. Katsuda and collaborators observed Galactic supernova remnants with Chandra (NASA) and XMM-Newton (ESA), and succeeded in measuring direct motions of shock waves […]
