Katsuda's paper on Puppis A has been accpected for publication in The Astrophysical Journal.

Dr. Katsuda and a team of scientists have revealed high-resolution X-ray spectra of the Galactic supernova remnant Puppis A, using the XMM-Newton Reflection Grating Spectrometer. The X-ray spectra are found to show peculiar features that cannot be reproduced by thermal emission model. It is suggested that such anomalous spectral features are due to charge-exchange emission. The paper is tentatively scheduled to be published on September 1st (2012) in The Astrophysical Journal.
