Konami, who is a D2 student, have succeeded in compiling a paper on metal abundances in the hot plasma of starburst galaxy M82, is accepted by PASJ. Katsuda's paper on Vela pulser has been accepted.

Dr. Katsuda and collaborators published a paper entitled "Suzaku detection of Diffuse Hard X-Ray Emission Outside Vela X" in Publications of Astronomical Society of Japan (available from http://arxiv.org/abs/1103.4872). Katsuda and collaborators observed the Vela pulsar wind nebula with Suzaku, and discovered that the X-ray-emitting nebula extends outside the radio-emitting nebula.
